about
"October" is the pioneering debut single from Frankfurt and London based composer duo Felsmann + Tiley.
The song, as well as further compositions in the pipeline, explores the grandeur of film scores, the simple beauty of contemporary piano compositions and the wide sound spectrum of electronic music.
“October” is a beautiful, timeless “synth-only” piece, stripping away all the percussive elements of electronic music. It is Felsmann + Tiley’s musical interpretation of an epic final battle, fought with pride and glory, all while being aware of the inevitably dramatic outcome.
Speaking about “synth-only” as their genre of choice, Felsmann + Tiley commented:
“Synths offer an infinite range of sounds, new ways of modulating and expressing music and live performance opportunities that have not yet been harnessed. By stripping away any percussive elements, we are forced to make the musical core work on its own.”
The debut single marks the start of a string of releases to come over the next few months.
